The PSP Southampton Boat Show today announces that TV star Matt Baker will welcome in the first day of the internationally renowned boating festival. Matt will make his entrance by sailing in to the Show.
BMF members are invited to join a briefing event during PSP Southampton Boat Show to discuss the BMF Supply Chain Initiative on Friday 19 September 2014, 8:45am, in the Winchester Room of the Holiday Inn.
The BMF team will be based in the lounge at the Show so if you are visiting or exhibiting please come and see us to find out more about BMF services and how we can help your business.
The 2014 Shipwrights’ Lecture for marine apprentices, young shipwrights and marine graduates will take place on Wednesday 15 October 2014 at the Turner Sims Hall, University of Southampton at 14.30.
The British Marine Federation (BMF) is partnering with The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights to encourage apprenticeships within the marine industry. The Apprentice Expansion Scheme (AES) provides advice, guidance and funding of up to £8.5k to companies taking on marine apprentices.

The BMF have been involved with a number of members who have found themselves in trouble with HMRC, in completely avoidable situations. The BMF will be holding an Introduction to Export Control seminar on Tuesday 16th September 2014 at the PSP Southampton Boat Show.
