The day will consist of fencing, laser and pellet air pistol coaching with a running and strength and conditioning session and combined event training.  Please bring your ETP diaries with you.

The BUCS Modern Pentathlon and Biathlon Championships 2015 will take place on 13-14 March in Oxford.  Any student at a BUCS affiliated college or university can take part as a biathlete, tetrathlete or pentathlete.  Entries shut on Thursday 26 February (http://www.oxbridgepentathlon.org.uk/bucsentry/info/entryinfo.htm).  The competition is run with a friendly and helpful atmosphere.  It is designed to cater for both novice athletes at their first competition and elite athletes alike.  

All competitors need to be members of Pentathlon GB and thanks to the support of BUCS and the University of Oxford entry fees can be kept low:

• Full Pentathlon or Ride Tetrathlon = £35

• Non-ride Tetrathlon = £16

• Run & Swim biathlon = £6

The organisers are always grateful for volunteers, especially fencing referees!  Volunteers on the Saturday will receive a packed lunch and refreshments throughout the day.  Contact: jonathon.wright@ssho.ox.ac.uk for more details.

U11, U13- 50m, U15 and Masters -100m, U17, U19 Junior and Senior – 200m
     
• Individuals and teams of three. The top three scoring individuals from an affiliated Club/School in a class will count as a team.
• All events staged under Pentathlon GB rules, please see National website for details.
• All competitors must be current members of Pentathlon GB
• All Clubs/Schools must be affiliated to Pentathlon GB ( please go to www.pentathlongb.org for details)
• The first 6 individuals and the top 2 teams in each Triathlon class qualify for the National Triathlon Championship. (Excluding U11 classes)
• You must live in the South East or be a Member of a SE club to be eligible for qualification to the Nationals Championship. 
• All Triathlon competitors must have some competition shooting experience or attended at least one Pentathlon GB Shoot training day.
• Maximum of two competitors per pistol.
• All competitors are responsible for supplying all necessary and correct competition equipment.
• By entering the athlete and parent/ guardian agrees to abide by the rules and the Code of Conduct for Parents & Spectators.
• Refreshments available on the day.
 

This competition is for teachers who wish to compete at the Schools' Championships.  To enter you must have competed in the biathlon series as Seniors or Masters athletes.

Varsity programme: The fence will be on Fri 3rd, & the swim that evening. The ride will be on Sat 4th in the morning (venue tbc). The combined event and presentations will be on the Saturday afternoon.  Further details will be posted closer to the time.

Pentathlon GB, are to hold a residential training camp for NETP/ETP athletes

The camp aims to provide additional coaching support combined with the opportunity to profile the athletes and provide individualised feedback , on the first stage of their journey on the Pentathlon GB Pathway Programme.

There will be coaching in the four disciplines of Swimming, Running, Laser shooting and Fencing.  Also included there will be a dismounted equestrian activity involving course walking and the rules of the Riding phase. Together with the quality training there will be time for teambuilding and fun activities.

A Biomechanical swim session with feed-back will be included

Accommodation will be in the College houses and will include all meals

The cost of the camp will be £140 for the two nights and three days.

This event is suitable for schools. Distances are subject to slight amendment depending on UIPM proposals.

During the morning there will be a training session suitable for both novices and experienced Biathletes with the race in the afternoon.

Entry Form for National Youth Ranking Competition 4 in conjunction with 2015 PGB Selection Policy

This is an afternoon event utilising a swimming pool for the swim.

Distances may be changed slightly subject to UIPM proposals.

This event is to be held at Cascina, just ourtside Pisa and Livorno. The swim will be in a 50 metre pool. Accommodation is available close by for around £40 per person inc breakfast

This is not a World Tour event, it is the German Championshps which is an open comeptition for other nations to enter.

This is an afternoon event with a fantastic Lake Swim.  This event is suitable for schools including teachers.  

After the event there will be a BBQ at the Stanton Family home nearby.

This is the final from a number of summer Biathlons in Yorkshire. Top 6 and top team to qualify from each competition.

Competitiors will have had to have copeted and qualified from one of the listed competitions.

It would appear from the UIPM that the European Championships will now be held in Turkey over 28th October - 1st November. Portugal to remain as a World Tour event.

This event will be the Great Britain Team qualifying event for both the Biathle World Championships to be held in Tblisi, Georgia on 18th September and the European Biathle Championships to be held in Turkey on 28th October.

The Georgian Fedderation, having originally identifid two options for this event, have decided to stage it at Batumi on the coast of the Back Sea rather than Tblisi.

This competition is a time trial for the British Modern Biathlon Championships (28th & 29th November 2015) and the British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Championships (TBC). Unlike the County Championships and competitions organised by the Pentathlon GB Regions, it has no automatic qualifying places for either of the British Championships.

Entries for the following classes will open online at 11am on 1st September and will be restricted to xxx athletes.  The competition entry fee is £6.  Entries will close once capacity has been reached or the closing date whichever is the sooner.   Athletes who are not fully paid up members of Pentathlon GB will be given free First Steps membership, however if they progress to one of the British Championships, full membership (£10) will be required at that stage.
