Huge positives at our first 2013 event

Our first regatta of the year ended with a tough last few days of final series in the 49er!
There are some huge positive points for us to pull away from the regatta, our starting was really good and we always felt faster than the boats around us, just some serious work to do with decision making on first beats!
We finished 20th overall which is far better than we have done at this regatta previously. After four races, we also reached the dizzy heights of 5th overall after a day of survival which has got to be a good thing.
Can't wait for exams to finish, we will then be in action at Sail for Gold, Kiel, European Championships, Youth World Championships, and finally the World Championships at the end of September, what a summer ahead of us!
