Job Description
Working alongside academy physiotherapists and coaches to provide the best available medical cover for academy teams on match days and training sessions. The role will require a variety of skills including; pitch side assessment and treatment of players, maintaining accurate and up to date notes on the Club's online system and continuous communication with full time academy medical and coaching staff.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity and support for Continual Professional Development (CPD).
Ideal candidate will:
• Have a BSc in physiotherapy
• Be a member of HPC and CSP
• Have sports trauma management qualifications
• Be able to competently assess and treat acute sporting injuries
• Be able to communicate with fellow academy physiotherapists, coaches and other medical personnel as required
• Cover academy training sessions and matches; both home and away
• Arrange follow up appointments for academy players
• Liaise with medical staff as and when required
Desirable qualities:
• Previous physiotherapy experience in a sporting industry
• Previous experience in working in a the football industry
• UK driving licence/use of own car
