ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao
Qingdao, China

The leader boards at ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao have seen the big hitters establish their names at the top throughout the week with just two days remaining.
Friday 18 October is the last day of fleet racing ahead of Saturday's Medal Races across the six classes which will determine the first winners of the inaugural ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao.

The southerly 5 knot breeze that tested sailors mind-set on Thursday will pick up in between 6-8 knots at a south easterly direction. Tidal current will continue to average out at 1.5 knots throughout the day making focus and concentration a vital ingredient in the recipe for success.

Racing commences at 12:00 local time with the Men's and Women's 470 on the Charlie Course and an hour later the Laser will be tracked on Alpha, view the tracking here. The RS:X fleets will race on Bravo.

The Men's 470 sees one point separating leaders Lucas Calabrese and Juan de la Fuente (ARG) and Sime Fantela and Igor Marenic (CRO) whilst the Women's 470 is a different story as Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie (NZL) have won every race.

Tonci Stipanovic's light frame has helped him in the light breeze and he leads the Laser by 16 points over Pavlos Kontides (CYP). An interesting fight for the final podium spot will resume on the penultimate day with just three points separating third to sixth.

Dongshuang Zhang (CHN) established a six point lead on Thursday have won all three races on the day. Tatiana Drozdovskaya (BLR) is second whilst Australia's Ashley Stoddart is third.

Israel's Shahar Zubari has slowly extended his Men's RS:X lead throughout the week, flourishing in both planing conditions and pumping conditions. Michael Cheng (HKG) is nine points off the Israeli and Brazil's Ricardo Santos currently occupies the final podium position.

Peina Chen (CHN) has held the Women's RS:X lead all week and heading into three races on Friday she leads Maayan Davidovich (ISR) by nine points.
