London 2012 Paralympic Sailing Competition
Weymouth and Portland, Great Britain

With little breeze this morning the three Paralympic classes are currently under postponement. However a sea breeze is expected to fill in between 12:00 to 14:00.
Whilst the sun is shining and beating down it has done no favour for the breeze and the scheduled 11:00 start has been delayed until later on today. When the sea breeze kicks in 5-8 knots are forecast across Portland Harbour.

A full weather report is available here.

The Race Committee will look to run all three classes simultaneously to ensure that no races are lost.

It was a late night in the protest room as Australian and French crews were disqualified from a race each in the Sonar. This has made the leader board look a little bit tighter however has handed Udo Hessels, Marcel van de Veen and Mischa Rossen (NED) a seven point lead. The discard will come into play today but the Australians and French will have to sail a conservative game.

Jen French and JP Creignou (USA) had a fantastic second day of racing yesterday with double bullets to pull into gold medal contention when it looked like the Brits and Australians would run away with these. Another good day could move them into pole position.

The highly competitive 2.4mR fleet will go again today and with very little separating the fleet throughout racing it's hard to predict who will come away with the medals at this early stage.
