Archery GB, in partnership with UK Sport, Nottingham City Council and the University of Nottingham, has been successful in its bid to host the 2016 World Archery Europe Outdoor Target Championship.
The European Championship will be held in Great Britain for the first time in Nottingham, May 2016. Archery GB and its partners will deliver a world class event which will showcase elite European archers to a global audience.
The European Archery Championship (2016) will be the key continental qualifier (CQT) for Europe leading into the Rio Olympics and Paralympics. Meaning this is the last chance for European archers to win places at Rio 2016.
The qualification rounds of the competition will be held at the Highfields Playing Fields at the University of Nottingham with the final stages being held in the iconic Market Square in the heart of the City.
