Dan Gobel

Dan Gobel is the president of BAE Systems' Electronic Systems sector.

Headquartered in Nashua, N.H., the sector has operations spanning commercial and defense electronics markets, and offers a broad portfolio of vehicle and mission critical electronic systems from flight and engine controls to electronic warfare and night vision systems, surveillance and reconnaissance sensors, advanced situational awareness displays and systems, secure networked communications equipment, and power and energy management systems.
 
Prior to this role, Dan served as vice president and deputy general manager of the sector. He was previously president of the former Platform Solutions sector.  Earlier in his career, Dan was vice president and general manager for the Electronic Combat Solutions and the Advanced Platform Electronic Warfare business areas within the former Electronic Solutions sector. He also held leadership roles on advanced platform electronic warfare systems, including the F-35, Joint Strike Fighter concept formulation and system development and demonstration programs.

Before joining BAE Systems in 1992, Dan held various engineering and program management positions at General Dynamics Corp’s Fort Worth, Texas division.
 
Dan received a master’s degree in engineering from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management and electrical engineering from Purdue University.
