Our employees are highly skilled with the engineering and technical know-how we need to support our business.

 

We want to attract and retain top talent by making BAE Systems a great place to work where people from all backgrounds can develop their careers and feel rewarded for what they do.

Engaging employees is important in helping us meet our business objectives and putting our corporate responsibility policies into practice. Their feedback also enables us to gauge satisfaction levels and prioritise areas where we can improve.

We continually invest in training and development to help employees achieve their full potential and make sure they have the skills to keep up with developments in technology to help us remain competitive. 

Increasing competition for people with the necessary skills and experience makes investing in our people and expanding our talent pool even more of a priority. We are encouraging more women to consider careers in traditionally male dominated manufacturing and engineering roles and we have strong support networks for female employees and those from diverse backgrounds.

In some home markets, there is a shortage of qualified engineering and technology graduates. We want more young people to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to fill this gap and support our future growth (see Investing in education).
