Guidance document for clubs on responding to CASC consultation

HMRC recently launched a public consultation on the Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) scheme. The document can be found on the HMRC website and will run until 12 August.

We sent you a special edition of Club Room last week notifying you of the CASC consultation and we promised to let you have some detailed guidance on the proposals. We have now completed these and are available to download for your assistance.

We will be producing our draft response to the consultation within the next couple of weeks and will email a copy of that over to you once completed in order to help you respond to the consultation. Please do let us have a copy of your response legal@rya.org.uk.

We cannot stress how important this consultation is both for existing CASC registered clubs and for clubs that may be thinking of registering as a CASC now or in the future.

HMRC is holding meetings on 16th July and 5th August 2013 to seek views and suggestions on the proposals. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you would like to attend one of the meetings register online here.
