China Coast Race Week
Hong Kong

The China Coast Race Week is held in the best of Hong Kong's sailing conditions with winds consistently in the 15 - 20 knots range under blue skies and on warm friendly waters.
The 2003 China Coast Race Week comprises of the China Coast Regatta 2003, sailed over three days in Hong Kong waters - the last day being the specially reinstated Hong Kong Around The Island Again Race - and the Hainan Race Series 2003, being a 355 mile ('downhill') dash to Hainan, followed by two inshore races in Sanya Bay, Hainan, all over another four day period.

China Coast Regatta
The China Coast Regatta will be run from Middle Island on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November. On Friday the IRC fleet will have two windward / leewards, followed by an Island course on the Saturday. The HKPN Regatta will be a 4 race series with an Island course (Friday); windward/leeward followed by an Island course (Saturday).

For both IRC & HKPN the Around The Island Again Race on Sunday 2 November will be the final race counting towards the Regatta results.

Hainan Race Series
Tuesday 4 November will see the fleet depart Hong Kong for Hainan at 1200hrs. The 2002 Hainan race proved to be an unusually slow race so I am sure that the wind gods will look upon us favourably and give us back the breeze that we saw the previous 3 years. Ffree Fire currently holds the record from Hong Kong to Hainan in only 29:55:03, a record that Line Honours favourite ex-Pyewacket will be trying to destroy!
