ISAF Publishes 2011 Supplement To The Case Book For 2009-2012

The 2011 Supplement for The Case Book for 2009-2012 has been published

The Racing Rules of Sailing

The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has published the 2011 Supplement to The Case Book for 2009-2012, which contains interpretations of The Racing Rules of Sailing.
The new supplement includes one new case, Case 114 Rule 16.1, which was approved for publication at the ISAF Annual Conference in November 2010. Case 114 provides an interpretation of the definition Room.

The new Supplement also includes a change to the abstract in Case 2.

The 2011 Supplement and the complete version of The Case Book, revised to include the changes contained in the 2010 and 2011 Supplements, are available to download from the ISAF website at www.sailing.org/casebook.

About The Case Book and the Racing Rules of Sailing
The Case Book contains interpretations of The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). A revised edition is released every four years to coincide with the revised edition of the RRS.

The aim of the Case Book is maximize the understanding of the rules and promote the consistency of their application worldwide. ISAF has been publishing interpretations of the RRS for over 40 years and the current edition, The Case Book for 2009-2012, contains details on the application of the rules to over 100 scenarios.

As well as publishing a revised edition every four years, to keep up to date with changes and new issues arising in the sailing world, in each of the following three years a supplement to The Case Book is published.

The 2009-2012 edition of The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) is available from www.sailing.org/rrs. The RRS page as contains links to past versions and a more detailed account of the history and compilation of The Racing Rules and associated ISAF Publications.
