One Month To Go

St. Moritz Match Race 2005

From 16-21 August five America's Cup teams and five of the top ten skippers in the ISAF World Match Race Rankings will for victory at the ISAF Grade 1 St. Moritz Match Race. With less than a month to go to the start of the event a new redesigned homepage for the St. Moritz Match Race has been launched by dctrl.com.

The top three sailors in the ISAF World Match Race Rankings will face each other in St. Moritz in a battle that could well server as a taster for the upcoming ISAF Match Racing World Championship being held in Calpe, Spain from 12-17 September. World number one Peter GILMOUR, current World Champion and number two in the Rankings, Ed BAIRD, and France's World number three Mathieu RICHARD form part of an elite lineup. BAIRD will feature in one of the two teams from America's Cup defenders Alinghi (SUI). BMW Oracle Racing (USA), K-Challenge (FRA) and Emirates Team New Zealand will all be fielding a team as well.

One month before the start of the St. Moritz Match Race, the website has has been re-launched with a new, clearer and more attractive layout.

Lithuania's Juozas Bernotas came out on top in the Men's RS:X whilst Russia's Stefania Elfutina was triumphant in the Women's RS:X. Both sailors claim the first Abu Dhabi ISAF Sailing World Cup Final spots whilst Jock Calvert (AUS) and Joanna Sterling (AUS) picked up the Oceanic spots for the Emirati finale.

A tight group of five young Papua New Guinean (PNG) Laser sailors are stepping up their 2015 Pacific Games competition program using this week's ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne. PNG is one of 33 countries represented at the important Oceanic event, the largest Olympic sailing regatta in the southern hemisphere.
