A lack of wind meant the start of race ten was delayed until just before the 1500 hours local time deadline. BARKOW, HOWE and CAPOZZI held a nine point lead over Sharon FERRIS, Raynor SMEAL and Ashley HOLTUM (NZL), who in turn were defending a two point gap to the third place Russian team of Vlada ILIENKO, Ekaterina KOVALENKO and Natalia GAPONOVICH.

The three finished together in the final race, with BARKOW, HOWE and CAPOZZI edging out FERRIS, SMEAL and HOLTUM to finish one place above them in eleventh, with the Russians following in 13th. BARKOW then adds the Yngling World title to the ISAF Women's Match Racing World Championship title she won in Annapolis last year. The New Zealanders secure second place, whilst ILIENKO takes the bronze medal in only her fourth ISAF Graded event in the Yngling, after her move from the 470.

Nicola BETHWAITE, Karyn GOJNICH and Helen IMPEY (AUS) finished fourth overall with Anna BASALKINA, Galina LOUKACHOVA and Vladislava UKRAINTSEVA (RUS) making it two Russian teams in the top five.

The next release of the ISAF World Sailing Rankings on 3 August looks likely to see some major changes with 2004 Olympic silver medallists, Ruslana TARAN, Anna KALININA and Svetlana MATEVUSHEVA (UKR) in tenth, number two team in the Rankings, Ekaterina SKOUDINA, Diana KRUTSKIKH and Tatian LARSTEVA (RUS) 13th, defending champions Trine PALLUDAN, Ida HARTVIG and Christina OTZEN (DEN) 15th and number one team in the Rankings, Kristin WAGNER, Anna HOLL and Christina HOLL (GER) 17th.

Maarten JAMIN, Gert Henk BAKKER and Jansje HOFSTRA (NED) won the open event with Torn OTTE, Maryke VON OGK and Ester OTTE (NED) taking the silver medal and John INGALLS, Jamey RANDALL and Bruce CHAFEE (USA) the bronze.
