Melges 24 U.S. Championship
Pensacola Bay

Day two of the US Nationals saw competitors enjoy three more great races. Doug Kessler continued to sail with impressive consistency to achieve a 2, 1, 2 scoreline and open up his lead to 7 points.
Behind him Roger Peacock's Black Seal Team had a much better second day winning the first race of the day and taking 4 in the second and third races to bring them up from fourth overall to second.

Overnight second placed Flavio Favini, helming for Franco Rossini, had an average day culminating in a very disappointing 13 in the last race of the day as a result of which they have dropped back into third.

Brian Porter also had a rather mixed day scoring 4, 6, 12 dropping him down to fourth just ahead of Argyle Campbell and Pedder Nergaard who maintained fifth and sixth respectively.

With two final races scheduled for today the championship is still wide open.
