ISAF Olympic Windsurfing Equipment Trials
Southampton

The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) invites submissions from sailboard manufacturers to offer a new and exciting step forward in the evolution of Olympic Windsurfing and welcome any new design concepts put forward.
A two stage approach has been adopted by ISAF for these trials where there will be a preliminary presentation event in September 2003, followed by an Evaluation Event in Spring 2004.

Applicants are initially invited to present their equipment at Cadiz, SPAIN from 11 - 25 September 2003. This shall be run alongside the 2003 ISAF World Sailing Championships. This part of the trials is not obligatory although a preliminary indication of intent must have been received by the ISAF Secretariat by Tuesday 1 July 2003.

The second stage of these trials is due to be held in Torbole, ITALY, in spring 2004 (dates and location to be confirmed), where the main Evaluation procedure will be carried out. An indication of intent to participate must be received by the ISAF Secretariat, by Friday 1 February 2004.

An entry fee of GBP 500.00 ex VAT is applicable PER DESIGN and must be paid by February 1 2004. The entry fee allows for entry to both the Presentation Event and the Evaluation Event.

This date may be extended on application, giving reasonable grounds. Potential applicants should note that the word "Olympic" shall not be used as an adjective to describe a sport, discipline, event or any type of equipment.

Current ISAF Council policy is that classes need not have International or Recognized status at the time of the Evaluation Event.
