Every team competing in the 32nd America's Cup has been subject to In Competition Testing (ICT) and Out-Of-Competition Testing (OOCT), with approximately 375 sailors forming the testing pool. Since 2006, ISAF has conducted frequent ICTs and OOCTs with no missed tests and no adverse analytical findings. These tests were conducted by the National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO), Anti-Doping Norway, in order to ensure top quality service. This year regular OOCTs have taken place and ICTs will continue for the duration of the racing in Valencia.

Arve SUNDHEIM, ISAF Secretary General, said, "ISAF are pleased to see the America's Cup lead the way in keeping sailing a dope-free sport. The co-operation ISAF has had with the America's Cup Management and the sailors in the testing pool has been first-rate."

The America's Cup sailors have been using the latest technology to keep their whereabouts information up to date in the most effective way possible. All sailors in the America's Cup testing pool are using the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) online ADAMS system to update their information, which has to include an accurate 2-hour block of whereabouts each day. All information on Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE) and Abbreviated Thereapeutic Use Exemptions (ATUE) has also been completed effectively, ensuring sailors are not penalized for using otherwise-prohibited medication which has been prescribed for pre-existing medical conditions.

Parallel to the America's Cup anti-doping measures, ISAF also carries out regular ICTs and OOCTs with a Registered Testing Pool drawn from the Olympic Classes.
