10% discount on new online dinghy insurance from Bishop Skinner

All dinghy enthusiasts will know that having the right insurance cover in place, such as transit cover and third party indemnity, is vital before going anywhere near the water. It not only provides security but a piece of mind that is crucial if you are to enjoy your time on the water with confidence.

More RYA members than ever before are choosing to buy insurance online, but in the past this process has proven difficult. Online systems have not always been compatible with dinghy owner’s requirements, meaning members had to purchase a separate policy for each dinghy. In response to this Bishop Skinner Marine, the RYA’s official insurance broker, has created a new online system to combat this problem.

The new ‘quote and buy’ online system allows members to obtain instant quotes for multiple dinghies on a single policy. For sailing enthusiasts and families with more than one vessel this is a welcome improvement, as the process of buying insurance is that much quicker and easier.

With Bishop Skinner Marine, RYA members only need to provide a few simple details online to be offered a policy that includes cover for; accidental damage including fire and theft, £5m third party indemnity cover, full racing cover and driving other boats extension; where applicable, a no claims bonus discount will be added to the policy.

RYA members and RYA qualified dinghy instructors are eligible to receive a 10% discount on standard rates. There are also discounts available online for covering more than one dinghy on a policy.
