What you need to know about setting up a Racing Coach Level 2 course at your club.

RYA RCL2 Course Set Up Process 

This is a flow chart depicting the set up time scales of an RYA Racing Coach Level 2 course - RCL2 Set Up Process 

 

If you would like to set up an RYA Racing Coach Level 2 course at your home club, here are the things to consider before you contacting your RYA High Performance Manager.

To run an RCL2 course you need:
  • 5/6 people for the course to run (6 being the maximum number of people)
  • 5 single handed boats (Toppers/ Picos are fine)
  • 1 Patrol Boat (eg rib) 
  • A indoor area  (eg classroom) to brief / debrief  
  • Dates you would like to run the weekend

The Candidate:

  • Candidates wishing to apply for the course should be very competent club races as a minimum
  • Hold an RYA powerboat level 2 certificate
  • Have an up to date and RYA recognised First Aid certificate - Click here for link
