16 October 2013 Commercial endorsement letter to: Advance Powerboat Instructors; Powerboat Trainers and Principals
8 April 2013 Version 1.1 of Recogniton Guidance Notes available.
Summary of changes incorporated into Version 1.1
1 April 2013
Anyone applying for a commercial endorsement to a Powerboat Level 2, Day Skipper course completion certificate, or Advanced Powerboat course ompletion certificate (dated before 1 Jan 2005) must submit an acceptable first aid certificate and a marine radio short range certificate with their application.
31 March 2013
No more paper certificates to be issued for Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Inland Waterways practical courses. Only photo ID certificates may be issued and must be registered online.
11 March 2013
Pilot Inland Waterways course introduced: Inland Waterways Crew Course.
1 February 2013 New consolidated guidance notes for recognised training centres come into effect
28 January 2013
Pilot motor cruising courses introduced: Start Motor Cruising and Advanced Pilotage
1 January 2013 Dangers of cold water shock to be taught on all practical courses
17 December 2012 Intermediate and Advanced Powerboat course, instructor and
vessel requirements
