Competing Nations

As the world's leading championship for youth sailing, the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship has attracted thousands of young sailors since its introduction in 1971. Over that time nations from Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North, South and Central America have all left their mark on the championships.

The introduction of the ISAF Athlete Participation Programme has seen the horizons of the Youth Worlds expand even further and attracted many new nations to the championship. To date, 105 different nations have competed in the Youth Worlds, with the most recent newcomer being Mozambique at the 2013 edition.

All nations are listed below and you can also download the spreadsheet below showing national participation at each edition.
