The thick fog that covered the harbour in Santander at the start of the day soon burnt off and gave way to a light 5 to 7 knot breeze from the north east allowing the Laser and Laser Radial Fleets to get afloat and start the Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.
Reigning 470 Junior World and 470 Junior European Champions, Jordi Xammar and Joan Herp from Spain are no strangers to competing at the elite level of the 470 Worlds, but this year will be a bit different for the pair as it marks the first time they have competed at a senior 470 World Championships, fully prepared and focused on the mission in hand.

The ISAF XML Regatta Reporting format (ISAF XRR) is an XML schema
defined by the International Sailing Federation; the world governing
body for the sport of sailing. It provides a universal standard for the
transfer of information relating to sailing events, including but not
limited to results, calendar and entry information.

tool that can be used to test XRR documents for correctness. It also
