2009's F2 World Championship was a testing one for the team, with a lot of bad luck hampering our attempt to win a 4th consecutive title. After the four rounds Colin finished 3rd overall, winning two GP's and Owen finished 6th. The Continental Championship saw Owen finish 2nd with Colin 4th, in the one round event.
There was however alot of reasons to be positive as the team itself worked brilliantly together, putting some disappointing times behind us and moving forward ready to take our titles back in 2010.
At home, Owen won the F2 British Championships, winning two rounds. This was a tremendous result as he raced one round less then the other teams due to his participation in the Rouen 24 hour race. Owen also won the final Scandinavian Championship round in Holland in August. Meanwhile Colin was mentoring Ben through his races, he did compete at the Sprints where he finished 3rd in his spare boat. He also finished 2nd in Class 2 (F2) at the Rouen 24 hours with the IXE Team.
Ben had a great first year. Winning two club races and finishing 3rd in another. He also completed two National rounds and had his first incident - flipping his boat on a windy day at Stewartby.
