Charles Watson has 45 years experience in the Marine industry starting with Camper & Nicholson in the 1970s and going on to co-found Ancasta Marine; the original Contest distributor. After leaving Ancasta in 1990 he decided to establish a specialist agency representing complementary ranges of top flight European sailing yachts in the UK and Ireland. It is on this foundation that our exclusive agencies for Winner and Contest from Holland, RM Yachts, Wauquiez and Tofinou from France are founded.
Following the 2012 Southampton Boat Show, after many years based in Hamble, Charles Watson Marine moves to Berthon in Lymington. This move allows Charles Watson to focus on new yacht sales, with Berthon handling the brokerage sales part of the business. Berthon will be working with Charles on all existing brokerage listings as well as working with him to provide a comprehensive brokerage service moving forward.
