Corporate Partnerships

Partner with Hands On Disaster Response
HODR’s Corporate Partnership program invites companies of all sizes to work with us to promote volunteerism and deliver effective disaster response in the US and around the world.

Corporate partnerships include a variety of possibilities to support HODR’s work, including:

- Employee volunteer programs
- Financial support
- Grants and awards programs
- Product donations
- Pro-bono communications, marketing, legal, web design, and other pro-bono professional services

Corporate involvement in a HODR project creates a unique and meaningful experience through which employees at every level are united in the goal of helping those in need. In addition to seeing the direct impact of your support on the community, your company benefits from team building and comradeship that translate back to the workplace.

Partner Success Stories
During Project Cedar Rapids, HODR’s flood response in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2008 the area’s largest two employers partnered with HODR to give back to their community:

Over the course of Project Cedar Rapids, more than 400 AEGON employees gave their time and energy gave back to their community by volunteering with HODR. In addition to AEGON’s volunteer support, the AEGON Transamerica Foundation donated $50,000 to HODR’s rebuilding efforts in the Cedar Rapids area, which encouraged significant matching funds from the community. “We wanted to help and they knew where help was needed. As cliché as it sounds, it was a match made in heaven. The experience was really great because it really was a partnership.”
- Susan Leatherwood, Chief Information Officer of AEGON’s Transamerica Retirement Management and Flood Response Volunteer Coordinator
Rockwell Collins was another strong partner during Project Cedar Rapids. The communication and aviation electronics company sent teams of employees to volunteer with HODR and based on our positive volunteer partnership contributed a $25,000 grant to Project Cedar Rapids; HODR was the only organization based outside of Iowa to receive a grant from the Rockwell Collins Flood Recovery Fund. “Our donation was to support the financial needs of Project Cedar Rapids, but more importantly, the gift was in recognition of the commitment and unselfish nature with which HODR applied resources to our community in a time of need. We truly believe that a portion of Cedar Rapids’ road to recovery was paved with the sweat and dedication of HODR crews.”
- Ron Kirchenbauer, Rockwell Collins senior vice president of human resources
