Holmberg and Bjorling Stay at the Top

ISAF Match Race Rankings Released Today

The latest ISAF Match Race Rankings have just been released. No change in the top two of the men's rankings with Peter Holmberg of the Virgin Islands remaining in first position, and Magnus Holmberg of Sweden in second.

Following his win at the recent Swedish Match Cup event in Germany Jesper Radich Johansen (DEN) moves up from fourth to third position.

In the women Marie Bjorling (SWE), second at the recent ISAF Womens Match Racing Worlds, remains in the top spot, and Dorte O'Jensen (DEN) in second and Lotte Meldgaared Petersen (DEN) in third, have exchanged second and third position since the last ranking.

Lithuania's Juozas Bernotas came out on top in the Men's RS:X whilst Russia's Stefania Elfutina was triumphant in the Women's RS:X. Both sailors claim the first Abu Dhabi ISAF Sailing World Cup Final spots whilst Jock Calvert (AUS) and Joanna Sterling (AUS) picked up the Oceanic spots for the Emirati finale.

A tight group of five young Papua New Guinean (PNG) Laser sailors are stepping up their 2015 Pacific Games competition program using this week's ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne. PNG is one of 33 countries represented at the important Oceanic event, the largest Olympic sailing regatta in the southern hemisphere.
