"It wasn't about winning," said the jubilant owner this afternoon, "it was about getting a good crew together and pushing ourselves hard.

"We made a commitment to take 'The Truck' north in this race rather than crewing on other yachts and when you have the right people on board, it just works."

Six of the seven crew aboard are from Lake Macquarie, including champion Radial sailor Richard Hudson, and four of them hadn't raced on the boat until the start of the Mooloolaba Race on Wednesday this week.

The seventh crewmember was a 19-year-old woman from Britain who is holidaying in Australia.

Proving that it was a small boat race, Rod Skellet's Young 31 Krakatoa has placed second on IRC overall handicap results with Warwick Sherman's Occasional Coarse Language third.

Nigel Holman's Cuckoos Nest is still the IMS Overall leader ahead of Occasional Coarse Language and Bob Steel's Quest, last year's Rolex Sydney Hobart Race Overall Winner.

Geoff Hill is also holding on to the top PHS placing with this Lyons 49 Strewth with Sea Jay (Scot Wheelhouse) and The Cone of Silence (James & Jenny Neill) in third.

Still at sea (in order) is Toy Box (Ian Box), Pippin (David Taylor), Obsession (Getaway Sailing), Sea-Change (Michael Belakhov), UCAN'TAKEITWITHU (John Stuckey), Witchdoctor (Rum Consortium), Redrock Communications (Chris Bowling), Impeccable (John Walker) and Expresso (Phil Darling).

Expresso is due to finish at daybreak tomorrow morning.

The official trophy presentation will take place tomorrow morning at 11.00am at Mooloolaba Yacht Club.
