So far the candidates have had an introduction to the Rockley Academy in Poole, their main base for the next eight weeks and have met all of the local training team as well as ISAF Training and Development Manager Dan Jaspers, who spent some time with the group alongside Rich Percy, Scholarship Coordinator, outlining the course and making sure that all of the candidates' expectations of the training were discussed.

Rich Percy, co-ordinator, said, "This is just the start of the journey for these coaches. The hardest part of their new roles is yet to come when they return home to manage the new programmes that they will have developed during their time with us on the course. All of us involved in this programme will support each of them along their journey and wish them luck."

Course Candidate Ririn Lewis sums up her journey from Coaching in Indonesia to the Scholarship, "I thought it is impossible for this to happen but it is now done."

With specific training elements in Safety Boat training, SWOT Analysis, MNA development plan writing, Level 1,2 and 3 Coach, First Aid training, Presentation skills and a two day 'Managing Outcomes' workshop as just some of the modules on the Course the International team will be putting in some long days both on and off the water.
