The Evaluation Event will look at whether there are suitable boats for a possible Women's High Performance Dinghy event at the Olympic Sailing Competition. The six boats entered for the event are the 29er, 29erXX, RS800, Cherub Daemon, Carbonology GT60 and International 14.
In order to test the boats as fully as possible in the time available, ISAF is inviting MNAs to nominate national-level teams of women sailors, from which the Evaluation sailors can be selected. We regret that the ISAF cannot meet any costs incurred by such sailors.
ISAF are seeking to select a group of sailors covering a balanced range of weight, height, age and expert trapeze crews. Helms need not have had previous experience of helming from a trapeze.
Nominations should include the following details:
Nominations should be submitted as soon as possible, and no later than 23 March 2007.
To submit a nomination please contact your relevant MNA.

A report on the Evaluation Event will be completed by the ISAF Mid-Year Meeting, to be held in Paris, France from 4-6 May.
The Evaluation Event is part of ISAF's commitment to actively develop sailing at the highest level and keep pace with all the latest developments within the sport. Previous Evaluation Events have led to the adoption of the RS:X board as the new windsurfer for the 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition and the 49er as the first twin trapeze skiff with asymmetric spinnaker in the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000.
