The first leg winners looked delighted to be in, although "disappointed" they'd not come higher, they were delighted to finally have finished such a mammoth endurance.

Speaking to Stuart JACKSON he told us that he'd made a couple of wrong moves but they had bonded even more as a team. He also said that it had been phenomenal speaking to Vendee Globe sailor, Mike GOLDING during a live link up in the leg. He said that he's felt humbled by the fact that Mike GOLDING was out there doing it alone but could relate to him saying that he was doing it more for the intense experince rather than the fun.

This is only the second leg and all the yachts still have everything to play for.

After the first three yachts provided viewers with a spectacularly close battle for first place fans were treated to more excitement yesterday evening the four yachts arriving in Wellington within an hour of each other. After an intense battle for fourth between Me To You, VAIO and Samsung it was eventually Samsung who crossed the finish line in front. Just three minutes later VAIO took fifth place for the leg with Me to You arriving 49 minutes later to take sixth. Shortly after Me to You, Imagine It. Done.arrived to a hero's welcome after their dramatic air rescue forced them to retire from the leg. SAIC la Jolla claimed seventh place with Team Save the Children taking eighth.

There are now just two yachts still racing - Pindar is approximately 100 miles from Wellington with Team Stelmar battling on with just over 2,000 miles to go.

The weather in Wellington is pretty horrendous - one of the worst summers in history - with rain and gale force winds. The crews should actually probably try and keep a low profile in Wellington otherwise they'll be blamed for bringing the Southern Ocean with them! Fat chance! The bars are already brimming over with crews swapping stories, holding onto loved ones and generally feeling rather chuffed with themselves for their incredible adventure!
