Andrew ARBUZOV (RUS) lead after the round robin stage was completed but was defeated after scoring three consecutive losses in the semi-finals. The petit final took place between Arbuzov and Sergey MUSIKHIN (RUS). The first match in the petit-final was won by Musikhin before Arbuzov turned the tables to win two points and take the overall win.
The Final was also tense with close racing and the competitors beating each other match by match. Both skippers had a clean sweep from their semi-finals and took their final to two wins each. In the last match Manuel WEILLER managed a slight lead at the start which he extended to the first windward mark. His opponent Takumi NAKAMURA (JPN) got himself a penalty after interfering with Weiler whilst on a different leg and that was the end of his contest and the only penalty for the last match of the event. Manuel Weiller finished almost one minute ahead of Nakamura to win the regatta.
The match racers shared the water of Amursky Bay of Vladivostok with 250 fleet racers, a tradition of 10 years for the Seven Feet Cup.
