Olympic and Paralympic Athlete Information Sessions

Yachting Australia is planning a series of information sessions for athletes involved or interested in getting involved in the Olympic and Paralympic programs.
The purpose of the sessions is to relay information to athletes on:
  • The new structures for the National Teams and Squads & qualifying criteria
  • State High Performance Programs,
  • Changes following the Olympic Review
  • Overview of plan towards Beijing
  • Funding guidelines
  • Event selection policies
  • Coaching support
  • Athletes Committee and more

Present at the 1-hour sessions will be Olympic & Paralympic program staff, State High Performance program staff and a representative from the Athletes Committee. There will be a Q&A period at the end of the session.

The information sessions are scheduled as follows:

Sail Brisbane
Monday 12 December at 09.30 (local time)
Flags Function Room - Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron

Sydney International Regatta
Sunday 19 December at 18.00 (local time)
Woollahra Sailing Club

Sail Melbourne
Friday 13 January at 18.00 (local time)
Sandringham Yacht Club

IFDS World Championships / 470 Nationals
