ISAF World Sailing Games 2006
Lake Neusiedl, Austria

Taking place from 10-20 May 2006 on Lake Neusiedl in Austria, the ISAF World Sailing Games is set to host up to 1500 participants from at least 60 nations.
And with 10 World Championship titles and more than 100,000 visitors expected, the ISAF World Sailing Games is set to be a spectacular sailing event.

The ISAF Athlete Participation Programme will again be providing support to sailors from emerging sailing nations to enable them to participate and ISAF is pleased to be partnering with the Austrian Sailing Federation and the Organizing Committee. ISAF will be providing travel and entry fee subsidies, and the Austrian Sailing Federation and Organizing Committee providing accommodation, food and coaching support for those selected to the programme.

MNA's can expect to recieve application letters and forms for the 2006 World Sailing Games Athlete Participation Programme tomorrow, 29 November 2005. Applications must be sent to ISAF by 4 January 2006, and applicants can expect to have their funding confirmed by 13 January 2006

The deadline for entries to the World Sailing Games is 1 February 2006 and all entires must be made directly with the Organizing Committee.

The World Sailing Games first took place in La Rochelle, France in 1994 and has been held every four years since. The equipment used is supplied for the duration of the event (except 49er - see Notice of Race 8.12). The equipment is rotated amongst the competitors between races to ensure unprecedented fairness.
