Protest No 1 v Illbruck Withdrawn
No ALT tag specified

Volvo Ocean Race

Assa Abloy have withdrawn their protest concerning nominated websites against illbruck.

The protest between Assa Abloy (represented by Chris Simon and Roy Heiner ) and illbruck (represented by Richard Slater and Glenn Bourke) was withdrawn when illbruck demonstrated that the site in question was available by simply clicking on links from another nominated web site.

Prior to writing his report, International Jury chairman Bryan Willis said that he would strongly recommend that the Race Committee set up a forum so that the teams could meet with the Race Committee and resolve outstanding concerns about Internet access during the race. Specifically, the definition of a publicly available site and the use of links from nominated sites appears to be a concern for a number of teams.

The protest hearing between the Race Committee and the illbruck Challenge will be heard at 15:00 local time today.

Due the second protest starting very shortly after the end of the first hearing, the jury report will not be available today. This will be issued as soon as it has been completed.
