Team Adventure is making her way up to the equator through a classic South Atlantic High, Warta Polpharma has a head wind which is forcing her to stick close to the coast and Team Legato is negotiating 30/35-knot winds on her way down towards Cape Horn.

Team Adventure's crew are making the most of the light air to continue their work on the sails. Jean Yves Bernot is also using the current situation to learn more and more all the time about how to get round the various traps which the weather sets for racing yachtsmen. The sorcerer is putting the end of this race to good and concocting some new spells for the future.

Warta Polpharma really has to put some easting into her course to avoid staying too close to the coast. She needs to make sure that she heaves herself enough searoom to manoeuvre her way through the Doldrums. Bearing in mind the weather forecast for the next 48 hours, her current situation is not very favourable.

Cape Horn lies 670 miles ahead of Team Legato. Before being able to round the rock, the Brit has to head down in 30/35-knot winds being generated by a low pressure system lying to the south. Tony Bullimore has decided not to rush things in order to make sure that his boat is in fine fettle for this symbolic passage which should be happening on Sunday evening.
