This event is a qualifier for the Mistral World Championship, and for the Argentinean competitors, a qualifier for the national team. The fleet of 31 includes 12 youths and 2 juniors from 4 South American countries. Marcos Galvan (ARG) is ideally suited to these conditions and duly lead home the fleet in fine style, in both races. Mariano Reutemann (ARG-2nd) and Victor Martinez (ARG- 3rd) are equally consistent with their finishing places in the overall results.

In the youth division, Mariano Benitez (ARG) is doing well in beating Frederico Pucci (BRA - 2nd) and Andres Azar (URU - 3rd) whilst lying 7th overall. All may change if the cold front forecast for tomorrow brings more wind.
