32 470's competed in a mixed fleet with six challenging for the women's title. First overall were Abe Yukihisa and Morita Einosukie from the Yamaguchi Sailing Federation whos sailed a consistent series. "It is my first win at a 470 regatta and I'm very pleased. We have more regattas next month and I have more confidence now with my new crew" said Yukihisa. The 2009 470 World Championship bronze medallists Ryunosuke Harada and Yuugo Yoshida moved up to third after a good final day but could not pass Tetsuya Matsunaga and KIMIHIKO Imamura who held on to second overall. Fourth overall, and the first of the women's teams were Ai Kondo and Wakako Tabata

Laser and Laser Radial
There was a tough battle between Kunihiro Otsuka and Shun Fujino in the 18 boat Laser fleet. Eventually it was Otsuka who likes the light wind conditions who took the overall win with Fujino just three points behind in second. Third place went to Kazutaka Hirose.

A mixed fleet of fifteen Laser Radials also had a tough battle and Hisaki Nagai sailed an exceptional regatta to overcome some of the light wind experts. Kaori Takahashi was not as sharp on the final day and dropped to third overall in the final results, making way for Manami Doi to move up to second. "It has beena while since I sailed against adult sailors, and I wanted to see where I stand against them during this regatta" said Manami "I am quite happy with my standard now so I keep going towards my next target. I have one more year in the Youth World and the only regret was that I could not bee Nagai-san!"

49er
Six 49ers took part in Enoshima Olympic Week with Yukio Makino and Kenji Takahashi taking a clear win, winning six of the seven races. Second overall were Kenji Nakamura and Yoichi Iijima, the only other team to take a race win. Third place went to Iwasaki Yuji and Ono Motohoro who have improved a lot since 20090. The 49er is a difficult boat to start sailing and they are always learning. "they are fast in light conditions. If they set their boat up well, they will be competition against us in light winds" said Makino.

Snipe and Laser 4.7
The 22 Snipes sailed four more races on the final day with Shingen Furuya and Isaka of Wadeda Univsersity winning overall. "It gave us good training hrough the regatta, and we now have confidence in winning the Inter-college regatta early in November" said Furuya. Fourteen Laser 4.7s had a very tight competition with four races completed and only two points separating the top two. Ichikawa Natsumi took the win ahead of Kikuchi Kohei and Kitamura Yuichiro.

The new JADA (Japan Anti-Doping Agency) Doping Control van was also on site on the final day with some competitors called for the control check after competition. Now, it is time for all the competitors to read through the JADA website to learn the Doping Control.
