Sailing Now Part of Canadian National Sport Centre

12 June - The Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) announces its official partnership with the National Sport Center Ontario (NSCO), based in Toronto. In this joint venture, CYA is pleased to combine forces with the Ontario Sailing Association and the ...
The Ontario centre's main goal will be to coach and support Canadian Sailing Team members as well as identified developing Olympic Class athletes. On-water coaching as well as other services offered through the National Sport Centre, the Ontario Sailing Association and the Royal Canadian Yacht Club will certainly prove to be of great benefit to the top echelons of youth and Olympic sailors in central Canada.

CYA is pleased to announce that Rob Fox, originally a Nepean (Ontario) native, has been appointed as coach for the Ontario National Sport Centre. Rob will be leaving his post as Programs Coordinator at the Ontario Sailing Association in the middle of July. The CYA is very excited to bring onboard Rob's sailing background, coaching experience, enthusiasm, and knowledge to the CYA team.

Currently, CYA is also in official partnership with the National Sport Centers in Atlantic Canada (Halifax) and the Greater Vancouver Region, coached by Brian Todd and Tine Moberg-Parker respectively. Ken Dool, CYA's High Performance Director, is pleased to have all three National Sport Centre coaches in place to heighten the competitive level of sailing in Canada.
