Reigning Champion Mike Budd, sailing "Gul" had another disappointing day and saw his hopes of taking the title for a second time finally evaporate. Overnight leader Jamie Lee, helming Richard Thompson's "Black Seal" saw his sixteen point lead chopped to a four point lead while Keith Musto in "Mustgo" continued to be one of the most consistent performers on the course with a 4, 1, 2 score card for the day ensuring he maintains his second place overall going into the final day. Paul Brotherton, helming Ed Leask's "Racketeer" also had a good day and his 14, 3, 1 score was enough to take him up into third overall. Tom Freytag in "Mad Cap" found himself black flagged in the first race of the day and as a result dropped from third to fifth overall while Rob Smith managed to climb from eighth to fourth.

Going into the final day the championship remains open with only four points between Thompson and Musto with Brotherton 10 points behind that. Tomorrow's forecast is for 20-25 knots of breeze so it should be an interesting final day to what has been an excellent championship.
