The final ISAF World Match Race Rankings of 2002 were released today with no change at the top of either the women's or the open rankings.
Women's Rankings
It's all the same names in the top 10 of the Women's rankings but there has been some shuffling of positions. Marie Bjorling (SWE) retains the pole position she has held since August 2001 and is still 2642 points ahead of fellow Swede Malin Millbourn who lies at number two.
Marie Faure (FRA) continues her march up the rankings and swaps places with Lotte Meldgaared Pederson (DEN) to lie in 3rd. Sandy Grosvenor (USA) takes the biggest dive in the top 20, sliding five places down from 15. Following her success at the All Japan Women's Match Race, Mika Yamasita (JPN) makes her debut in the ISAF Rankings at number 45. Also appearing for the first time is Hikari Sabo (JPN) who enters at number 60.
Open Rankings
The Men's top 10 remains the same with Karol Jablonski (POL) staying on top. Further down the list, Cameron Appleton (NZL) and Henrik Jensen (DEN) have swopped places to lie at 18th and 17th respectively. High climber, Michael Dunstan (AUS) moves back to 32 after taking slide to 41 at the last release.
The next rankings will be released in March following the Steinlager Line 7 Cup in Wellington, New Zealand.
