ISAF World Sailing Games 2006

On the 4 March 2005, John DINSDALE, acting as representative of Hobie Cat Europe, signed an agreement with Koloman WATZEK, representative of the ISAF World Sailing Games 2006 and organizer of the event, to supply the Hobie Tiger for the Men's Multihull event.
The Hobie Tiger is a three sail 18-foot, high-tech sport catamaran. It was introduced on the market in 1995 and since then has won a lot of the big F-18 cat races in the world. At the same time the Hobie Tiger class has grown all over the world and was approved by ISAF as an International class in 2000. The fourth Tiger World Championships are scheduled later on this month, with nearly 100 Hobie Tigers racing in Santa Barbara, California, USA.

Hobie Cat Europe has supplied the Hobie Cat 16 as the multihull support for the 2002 ISAF World Sailing Games in Marseilles, France in 2002 and has been official supplier in all the ISAF World Sailing Championships since the first edition in 1994 in La Rochelle, France.

Hobie Cat will also supply the Hobie Cat 16 Spi to the 2005 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship from 14-23 July 2005 in Busan, Korea.

The 2006 ISAF World Sailing Games will take place from the 10-20 May 2006 in Lake Neusiedl, Austria.
