Junior Racers having some great racing out on the lake

The second Rutland Junior Series finished this Sunday – with more of our sailors taking part and cutting their teeth in a racing series.

The series has been well supported with regulars complaining if family trips mean missing racing.

IN Sunday’s racing the wind was light to moderate from the west. With a few minutes to spare before the racing started Steve led the little fleet on a Follow my leader course practicing slowing, stopping and then speeding up.

Racing up and underway saw Libby Petit join the fold giving the racing a good go in her Tera.  Alex Knatchbull gave Ben Tylecote a good run for his money in the Bic – Charlie being away as support crew for the Laser Masters currently waiting for the wind in Abersoch!  There was some fantastic starting going on with Oscar coming in at speed on time and whizzing past some of the boats.
