Wilf has been in the carriage driving fraternity for about 30 years. He started out by grooming for his uncle George Bowman at numerous national, international and World Championship events. Wilf then went on to drive himself in the horse pairs class, being fortunate enough to gain a sponsor for four years which allowed him to get a place on the team to go to the World Pairs Championships in Riesenbeck in 1997. Alongside team mates George Bowman IV and Andrew William, they team won a Gold Medal. Wilf has had great success in the horse pairs class winning 4 national pairs championship titles.
Wilf started putting his current team together 5 years ago; after trying many horses and adding more experienced horses to this combination he now has a strong team.
To date he has had a very successful 2014 season coming 5th at CAI3* Saumur and 8th at CAI3* Lahden .
