OFFICIAL Badminton BENEFICIARY 2014

Equestrian Team GBR, in partnership with the British Equestrian Federation Fund (BEFF), is the chosen beneficiary for this year’s Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials.

This year’s fundraising drive is aimed at supporting the large operation required to assist Equestrian Team GBR in bringing home medals at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy and the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games - this is your chance to be a part of Team GBR’s success on the world stage.

Team GBR Badminton Course Walks

Due to the popularity of the Team GBR Badminton Course Walks on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th May, which were sold out in a matter of hours, there is now the opportunity  to participate in an additional  Badminton Course Walk on Thursday 8th May at 2pm. 

Join Polly Stockton -  International 4* event rider, who completed Badminton and Burghley CCI**** on several occasions and was selected for 2011 European Eventing Championships. It is planned that Polly will be accompanied by another member of the GBR Eventing World Class Programme.

What will the funding be used for?

The money raised will all go into supporting the British equestrian teams to compete for medals on the world stage. This year the World Equestrian Games are in Normandy, France and we hope to send athletes to compete in each of the eight FEI disciplines of Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Eventing, Para-Equestrian Dressage, Reining, Showjumping and Vaulting.  The funding will also help the Non Olympic Disciplines prepare for the WEG and ensure that they can take the support staff that will assist the athletes (equine & human) deliver their best possible performance on the Field of Play.

Where is the current funding being used for Team GBR and where does it come from?

UK Sport is a major financial contributor to Equestrian Team GBR through the Lottery funded World Class Programme. The funding received not only supports the Performance and Development Programmes but also supports Team GBR across the Olympic and Paralympic Sports.  Additional support is provided through the relationship we have with our valued Official Suppliers; Toggi (Equestrian Team GBR clothing), Nuumend (numnahs), Dodson & Horrell (feed & diet analysis), Land Rover (vehicles), Mears (riding coats), NAF (supplements) and TAGG (horse rugs).
