Get Set terms and conditions

The British Olympic Association (“BOA”) and British Paralympic Association (“BPA”) (together with any and all agents, sponsors and promoters involved in organising the relevant competition), are referred to below as “we”, “us” or “our”.

By entering this competition (the “Competition”) you agree that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, any competition brief, the Entry Form and any other specific details relating to the Competition or to the Prizes published on the Get Set and/or BOA/BPA websites (together the “Rules”).

Eligibility

1. The Competition is only open to pupils of a school registered at the date of entry with the BOA/BPA education programme Get Set excluding FE colleges and Independent FE colleges.

2. Officers, employees or agents of the BOA, the BPA and members of their household or families are not eligible to enter the Competition.

3. We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

Submitting your entry

4. The Competition is open from 6am on Wednesday 6th February 2013. You will have until 5pm on Friday 1st March 2013 to submit your entry by activating your registration. Any entries received after this time will not be accepted.

The Prizes’
5. The Prizes will be confirmed on the Get Set website and will include: a unique canvas print from Team GB House – the Team’s London 2012 headquarters; an exclusive, signed poster of Team GB who competed at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival; one of 11 exclusive canvas print portraits of top athletes from Team GB House; one of ten sets of Team GB kit and one of ten sets of silver London 2012 Team GB pin badges (x10 pin badges per set).

6. The Prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred by you and cannot be redeemed by you for cash or any other prizes.

7. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside our control, we reserve the right to vary or withdraw any element of the Prizes or offer an alternative prize of equal value. No cash will be offered.

Picking the winner

8. To be eligible to win a Prize, the entrant must have activated their registration on the new Get Set website (www.getset.co.uk) by 5pm on Friday 1 March 2013.

9. Winning entries will be drawn from all valid entries received by the closing date. Winning entrants will be notified by post or email within 10 working days of the closing date. Our decision will be final and we will not enter into any correspondence about the prize draw.

Some other rules

10. You agree to take part in or co-operate with a reasonable amount of publicity or other promotional activity and agree that we may publish your name, school, and any photographs, films and/or recordings made by us or on our behalf and featuring you.

11. Unless stated otherwise, we shall not be responsible for any costs/expenses incurred by you in connection with entering the Competition or enjoying the Prizes.

12. We shall not be liable for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by any person as a result of taking part (or not being able to take part) in the Competition or as a result of taking up (or not being able to take up) any Prize.

13. Nothing shall exclude our liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence.

14. You agree to keep confidential any information of any nature about BOA/BPA and its/their business, personnel and any sponsors that is received by you as a result of participating in the Competition.

15. We shall keep your registered details for a reasonable time so that we can operate the Competition and verify that the Rules have been complied with, as well as for accounting purposes. We may pass those details on to our service providers, agents and any sponsors to facilitate your participation in the Competition and (where applicable) taking up any Prize. Any personal data relating to you will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the Competition and/or to amend or supplement the Rules at any time, without prior notice or liability. Any changes will be posted within the Rules or on our website.

17. We reserve the right to disqualify, without liability, any entrant if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of the Rules.

18. BOA/BPA shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.

19. The Rules are governed by English law, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts for all purposes in connection with the Competition and the Rules.
