Contacting your local office

As the Canal & River Trust covers such a large geographical area, some of the work that we do is managed by local teams, all of which have excellent knowledge of their area.

Our local waterway offices are responsible for the maintenance of the canals and rivers within their boundaries. As you’re cruising, walking or visiting one of our waterways you might notice something which you’d like to let the local waterway office know about. For example a fallen tree, excessive littering, leaking lock gates, bridge strike or overgrown vegetation.

How much will calls to this number cost?

030 numbers were specifically designed for not-for-profit organisations and charities.  Calls to this number cost no more than calls to geographic (01 and 02) numbers and must be included in inclusive minutes and discount schemes in the same way.  More information can be read in this guidance document produced by OFCOM
