School improvement

For the many schools that have committed to using the Olympic and Paralympic Values as a key driver of whole school improvement there is no doubt at all that it works. As you will see from the case studies and working examples from Get Set schools, using the Values to drive up participation and engagement across the curriculum, to target behaviour, increase access and inclusion or even to help improve exam results really does have a positive impact.

The challenge now is to build on this excellent, Values-led practise and to keep the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic movements alive and thriving in schools and communities.

This is just the beginning. The aspiration is that the number of schools integrating the Values into their school improvement plans will continue to grow over the coming years. We would like you to help us build the ‘inspire a generation’ motto from London 2012 into sustainable practice.
