First Step Physical Education, part of the First Step Sports Group are specialists in the planning, organisation, delivery and assessment of Primary School PE, delivering quality PE and sports offerings, to schools across Yorkshire.

As a Coach Manager it is your overall responsibility for the performance and results of both the delivery team, customer satisfaction and retention by successfully developing and monitoring your team; achieving both delivery and customer performance targets. The Coach Manager will report to the Operations Director and is responsible for maintaining coach records and ensuring minimum coaching requirements are met and minimise cost by achieving coach utilisation targets. Delivering these tasks in an effective and efficient manner will ensure First Step Physical Education's high standards are maintained
Knowledge and Experience required;
Essential
o Industry competence (particularly in Primary Physical Education) 2 years minimum.
o Knowledge of current developments in subject area.
o A minimum of 4 years' teaching/coaching experience in a wide range of environments.
o Have a proven track record of delivery to a high standard.
o Experience in a supervisory/management position.
o Exceptional planning and organisational ability.
o Excellent ICT Skills
o Motivates and communicates effectively with people at all levels.
o Uses time efficiently and effectively.
o Has relevant knowledge and experience of sports development.
o First aid qualified.
o Holds a full and clean UK driving licence and has access to own transport.
o Has a good understanding of Child Protection, Child Development, Health and Safety and Sports Equity principles, policies and procedures
o A commitment to equalities and diversity.
o Committed to continuous professional development and willingness to undertake training where necessary.
Candidates must hold at least 4 of the following:
o Level 2 coaching qualification or equivalent
o Mentoring experience
o Management experience
o Customer service experience
o Level 3 award in education and Training (Previously PTLLS)
o Assessor qualification
o PGCE
o Degree
