The ISAF Training and Development Department is pleased to announce that the IOC Olympic Solidarity department has agreed to fund a Level 3 Technical Course for Coaches in Singapore. The dates of the course are set as 3-9 March, 2014.
Mr. Joe Chan, National Training Manager for Singapore Sailing and 2013 ISAF Training Scholarship Graduate said, "After the successful application and completion of the ISAF Level 2 Technical Course for our Learn to Sail coaches in 2013 we now embark on upgrading the expertise of our performance coaches with this Level 3 Technical Course.

"This development is in line with our mission of making Singapore a centre of excellence for sail training in our region. We have invited members of the Asian Sailing Federation (ASAF) to send their aspiring racing (Performance) coaches to attend this course. It is our hope that courses such as this one will help grow the sail training programmes in Singapore as well as in our region. Thank you ISAF and IOC Olympic Solidarity for making this possible."

More information about the course can be found on the Singapore Sailing website here.

Dan Jaspers, ISAF Training and Development Manager commented, "When ISAF Members such as Singapore Sailing benefit from the programmes that we have developed it makes me very happy. The work of an International Sport Federation is that of supporting members that require support and maintaining those that are already developed. Singapore Sailing has big plans for their National Sail Training Programme and has demonstrated that when a strategic plan is devised and carried out the results can be almost instantly visible. We all look forward to seeing the outcomes of this latest successful Technical Course application and look to other MNAs in Asia in supporting similar applications.'
