Knowledge is key to staying safe and in control of your Twitter experience

What we do:

We work to keep our users safe by using both automated and manual systems to evaluate reports of potential violations of the Twitter Rules or Terms of Service.


We also collaborate with experts to ensure those in need are provided with critical resources and to help promote good digital citizenship on Twitter and on the Internet as a whole. As part of that, we’ve created this help center to provide safety tips for teens, families, and teachers.

 

What you can do:

Control your experience on Twitter by getting to know your privacy and safety settings, being aware of what information you’re sharing, and understanding what you should do if you run into an issue. While unfollowing or blocking someone is often enough to resolve an issue, we encourage people to file reports if they encounter someone violating the Twitter Rules or Terms of Service so that we can investigate the situation and take action if necessary.
